Q. I am driving to Paris and have heard of new anti-pollution rules in the city. Do I need to do anything before I set off?
A. Yes. Since January 22 all cars driving in Paris have had to bear a windscreen sticker showing which European emissions standard they meet (Euro 6 is the latest, applying to all new cars produced since September 2015). The sticker costs €3.70 (£3.25), plus postage, at certificat-air.gouv.fr. You can check which standard your vehicle meets here. On-the-spot fines range from €68 to €135.
